We are in real estate to make a living, but we also work to make a difference in the world. A portion of the profits from American Realty Resources, LLC, goes to support projects of Founding Family Charitable Foundation, and other charitable causes. When you do business with us, you are also helping to make the world a better place, and we appreciate your help and your business! Below you can read about some of the current projects and needs of FFCF.
(Don’t forget to visit our photo album below.)
Founding Family Charitable Foundation (FFCF) started in the founders’ hearts in 2003, and became a reality in 2005 with the forming of FFCF, a 501(C)3 non-profit corporation. The founders were blessed by the miracle of adoption in 2001. The stated primary mission of FFCF is to award grants to middle income parents, primarily public servants, who want to adopt, but need financial help with the initial fees. God blessed us with a few large gifts from generous contributors and many small gifts from generous hearts. We were able to help support many deserving projects besides adoption grants. We need to replenish our funds to take care of several needs. If, by God’s leading, you can help, we would be most appreciative. We are now an all volunteer organization and your contributions will go directly to one of the following needs.
Children of Promise. Phillip and Mary Margaret Morrison have made an annual holiday trip to Israel for many years. They take money for medical supplies and equipment to several children’s homes and hospitals which serve all nationalities in the region. One home serves 90 terminally ill children, and desperately needs new laundry equipment, costing $15,000-$20,000. We would like to expand the ministry year round. Phillip has several ‘trusted servants’ on the ground in Israel right now who are able to directly supervise the distribution of clothes, food and medical items. Phillip Morrison is the administrator of Children of Promise.
Grace Home School in India. FFCF was able to help build a school at a home for children left orphans by the 2004 tsunami. As always seems to happen, construction costs were more than anticipated due to the increased costs of building materials world wide, and the initial estimation for building did not cover everything. Still needed are some doors and windows for the new building, salaries for 2 teachers, benches, tables, & library books for the library. We are raising money for the shortfall. We are very grateful to an anonymous corporate foundation which funded a computer lab for the school. The Grace Home School has the potential to be a model school in the area and we are very excited about what has been accomplished so far. $20,000 is needed for this shortfall.
Funding for more adoption grants. The number of applications is increasing and we have had to turn down several deserving families for lack of funds. These courageous and loving families need support to bring their children home.
FFCF works with an organization whose mission is to receive quality, donated goods and ship to the poor in the U. S. and other countries. This organization has the experience to package and ship, but they need sponsors to pay for the shipping and handling. For instance, a truck load of rice and beans worth about $30,000 can be shipped to West Virginia for $1,000 or to the Dominican Republic for approximately $5,000. This is a tremendous value and use of resources. Can you help with this?
